CONCORDE HISTORY

We are committed to upholding our most cherished values in every project and task we take on, and this holds true through our history.

Established in 1985, Concorde Management & Development, LLC provides a complete spectrum of services to property owners, investors, and their tenants and offers solid solutions to clients’ real estate needs.

Lincolnites David M. Schmidt, Thomas C. Smith, and the late Thomas D. Hayes originally formed the company to manage and develop their own and partner-invested real estate properties. Since then, Concorde has maintained a philosophy of slow and steady growth and now oversees an increasingly diversified list of properties for numerous satisfied clients and tenants. In September of 2018 the operating companies were acquired by Dana Schmidt and Aaron Fenton to carry on the unparalleled service offered since the company founding.

An expanded staff of carefully chosen employees adheres to the concepts of integrity and teamwork. This highly proficient team offers expertise in all aspects of the comprehensive services we offer: Site Selection, Commercial Brokerage, Construction Management, Property Management and Maintenance.

Dana Schmidt

Managing Partner

Dana Schmidt is one of the managing partners and a co-owner of Concorde and Blue Rock.  Dana is responsible for development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, construction and asset management for the company’s current and future projects.

Prior to joining Concorde, Dana was with First Industrial Realty Trust overseeing development and redevelopment in the mountain states of the US and Canada including Denver, Salt Lake City, Reno, Calgary and Edmonton.  While at First Industrial, Dana completed over 3 million square feet of development, redevelopment and acquisitions across Western North America.  Previously he was with Midwest First Financial in Omaha.

A native of Nebraska, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in Business Administration (Finance) and a master’s degree from the University of Denver (Daniels College of Business in Real Estate and Construction Management).  He is also a licensed real estate agent in the State of Nebraska.

Aaron Fenton

Aaron Fenton, Managing Broker and Partner of Concorde Management and Development, LLC.

Aaron, a lifelong Lincoln resident, brings an abundance of community knowledge and business experience to our company. As a former Dietze Music store manager and president of Echo Productions, Inc., Aaron understands the needs of businesses and individuals in the Lincoln area and brings a wealth of community connections.

His demonstrated experience in sales and marketing, financial and organizational management and strong customer relationships help him provide well-crafted solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients. Aaron has been awarded with a Power Broker award from CoStar and was runner up in the Lincoln Journal Star’s Best of Lincoln Realtor category.

David M. Schmidt

David M. Schmidt began his career in real estate in the 1970’s following graduation from the University of Nebraska College of Business Administration. His initial involvements were with a brokerage and appraisal business, including owning and managing an appraisal company and a real estate brokerage franchise office for Century 21.

In 1985 he co-founded Concorde Management & Development, LLC in order to manage and develop the real estate investments owned by himself and his partners. Since that time, the Lincoln-based company has expanded its reach to include fee management for other owners and investors. Through David’s leadership, Concorde has become a company known for its integrity and dedication to excellence.

David believes it is important to be involved in community activities as well as in industry organizations in order to better serve clients and tenants. He is active with the Great Plains Trail Network in local fundraising efforts for city trails and has served on many Boards of Directors for various entities over the years.

David is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Omaha Board of Realtors, the Lincoln Realtors Assn, and the Institute of Real Estate Management-Chapter 12 (IREM). He obtained the designation of Certified Property Manager through his affiliation with IREM.

Throughout his career, David has proven to be a key player in all phases of real estate to include: sales, valuation, development, investing, property management, and construction management.

Rick Menke

Rick Menke joined the Concorde team in 1991 with an extensive knowledge of construction and maintenance. He began in the construction industry in 1967 and has continued to hone his skills and knowledge since then.

He and his team of technicians excel in the area of property maintenance management. They provide quality, continuous preventative maintenance programs as well as quick response 24-hour emergency services, ensuring that your investment is protected.

Rick’s team consists of experienced maintenance technicians and certified air conditioning personnel. Their expertise spans many disciplines, including painting, flooring, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, drain cleaning, HVAC, and troubleshooting problems.

Rick works always with the property budget in mind. Through his years of experience, he knows how his team can perform within budget guidelines while still maintaining the highest level of service for both tenants and owners.

Missy Bahr

Missy Bahr has worked for Concorde Management & Development for over 28 years, beginning with the original owners in 1994.  She started as a bookkeeper, and over the years has been promoted to her current position as Director of Accounting.

During this time, she has helped to grow and develop the company with her extensive knowledge of accounting, financial practices, real estate regulations, and office operations.

Her aptitude in these areas, along with her dedication to quality and accuracy in her work, serves the company and our clients well.

Missy was born and raised in Lincoln, has been married for 36 years to Bill, and they have two sons.  She enjoys boating and gardening on the weekends.

Matt Lehnert

Matt hails from the sandhills community of Ainsworth.  He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he majored in Athletic Training and was a member of the UNL Yell Squad.  Following graduation in 2001, Matt has made his home in Lincoln ever since.

Matt brings with him the sales, finance, and relationship skills built during a 12-year tenure as a Finance Manager at DuTeau Chevrolet/Subaru.  In particular, Matt hopes to emphasize the business relations facet while assisting you and your business with any real estate needs.

Matt enjoys live music, golf, and spending time with his wife, Amy and their 2 daughters.  You may also catch Matt out on a weekends playing in his band, Loose Affiliation.

Richard K. “Dick” Young joined the Concorde brokerage team in 2004, following a successful career with premier Lincoln/Omaha advertising agency, a career that saw him rise through the ranks from UNL student intern to CEO. Dick excels at matching buy/lease opportunities with his clients’ needs and enjoys personal and professional accolades, and is also a licensed real estate agent in the state of Nebraska.

George Chen Started working at Concorde as an Intern while still attending the University of Nebraska- Lincoln for Finance and Political Science. He is now learning and transitioning into a sales and leasing role part time, while working full time at a local community bank. George loves to work in teams, and learn from new experiences and the people around him.  He hopes to go back to graduate school in a JD/MBA Program in the near future, while continuing to serve clients in the local Real Estate Market.

Patrick Oakes

Patrick worked from 1991 to 1996 in the field of investment banking in New York, New York.  He moved into real estate in 1997.   For nineteen years Mr. Oakes worked in the real estate profession as a Regional Asset Manager, Troubled Property Program Manager in Omaha, St. Louis, Detroit and Des Moines.  He brings long term experience in varied fields of real estate and investment banking.  Patrick started working at Concorde Management and Development in 2016 as a Property Manager and Asset Manager.  His diverse experience and confidence working in the field of real estate is a major asset to the company and the people he works with.

Patrick graduated from Kings Park New York High School and attended Dowling College on Long Island, New York.  He has a brother, nephew and niece in New York along with a sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew in Lincoln. In his spare time he enjoys golfing in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Dependability and a willingness to always be there to help Concorde Management and Development with their many diverse needs is his strongest asset.  He’s also the one you can count on to be there for all your property management needs!

Karli Smith

Karli Smith graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2000 and went to work for Capri Capital Real Estate Investment Trust Company.  She then began her career as a Montessori educator with 20 years experience working with children and families as a teacher and as a business owner and manager of Aspen Montessori School.

She began working at Concorde in early 2020 as a residential manager of Gate Park Apartments and has moved on to become a property manager for the company.  Karli’s long term professional skills working with young families makes her the perfect person to oversee your properties with a positive mindset and the ability to make things work and get things done.

She has been married for fifteen years to Zach Smith and they have a fourteen year old daughter who participates in dance competitions around the US.  As a lifetime Lincoln resident Karli enjoys her many friends and family along with dog Charlie.

Audree graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May of 2020 getting her Bachelors of Art degree in Graphic Design and Architectural Studies. She started as a marketing/graphic design intern at Concorde in September of 2019 while still attending college. She is now taking on marketing and property management. She is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Nebraska. She is always determined to do her best and loves making new, creative, marketing assets.

Eric Breashears

Eric is a life long Lincoln resident who received his real estate license in 1996 when he began working in the real estate market selling homes.  He was surprised how satisfying it was to help people find a home, especially first-time home buyers.

In 2014 Eric began working in property management with a local 55+ community here in Lincoln.   Once again his enjoyment helping people find a place to live was front and center.  His “clients” included veterans from WW2, Korean and the Viet Nam war who he had the privilege to meet and get to know.  He holds close the stories told to him over the years by these veterans, which he will cherish for a lifetime.

In early 2022 Eric decided it was time for a change.  He applied and was hired by Concorde Management & Development as a Property Manager.  He often says without hesitation that it was one of the best moves he ever made as the Concorde team has made him feel right at home!  Eric is very excited about his future here at Concorde Management & Development and looks forward once again to bring his long time skills helping people find a place to live in the Lincoln area.  Eric’s integrity and professionalism makes satisfying customers his strong suit!

Eric has been married to his wife Jeannette for 30 years.  They have two boys who both graduated from college this last spring.  One from Bryan School of Nursing and one from SCC with a welding degree.  Jeannette is a nurse at Bryan West Medical Center.  They both enjoy motorcycle rides, walking their dog, Ike, along with caring for their five cats – three of which are rescue animals.  In his spare time Eric still enjoys doing some small masonry work, which was his first career out of high school.

Brian Craft

Born and raised in Lincoln, Brian started in the real estate industry in 2004 after being hired to help manage a multitude of multi-family assets — “a trial by fire”, as his owner would commonly say. Brian would earn invaluable, hands-on experience from leasing regulations, maintenance diagnostics & troubleshooting, web development, to cultivating a strong working relationship with Lincoln Housing Authority. 

Eager for fresh challenges and a desire to broaden his expertise, Brian began working for a small and developing property management team in 2015. His new position focused on heavy involvement with the diverse cultures within the UNL student body, migrant, and refugee populations. These challenges helped him grow both professionally and personally. 

In 2021 Brian was given the opportunity to join Concorde Management & Development to assist with property transitions. He was galvanized by Concorde’s unconditional support, respect, and experience.He is thrilled to be a member of this new family and strives to provide value not only for his clients, but also his team members.

Shelley Holt

Administrative Assistant / Receptionist

Shelley hails from Waverly, Nebraska, where she was raised on a farm outside of town with one brother and one sister.  She graduated from Waverly High School, got married and raised three children; and helped raise John’s three children, then went on to complete her Associates Degree in Marketing at Southeast Community College.  Her previous professional careers involve working at Windcrest Assisted Living as the Activities Director, working with HR at Tri-Con Industries, and as a Senior Staffing Advisor for employment services here in Lincoln.  Shelley joined Concorde Management and Development in September of 2021.  She is the first person you see with a smile on her face as you walk into the downtown office at 1314 “O” Street along with being the voice you hear answering the main office phone.  Shelley is the one who directs you to the person you need to talk to in the company.

Shelley enjoys traveling across the United States, first with her family and now with her husband.  Her favorite travel experiences are the six “large ship” cruises they have experienced in the Caribbean.  Best Island visited so far is the French Island of St. Martin! In her free time nine months out of the year, Shelley and her husband, John, house Lincoln Stars Hockey Players. This year three lucky young men resided in their home!  Shelley and John also have three muscle cars they show at car shows across Nebraska.

Marie Micek

Marie brings a variety of job experiences working with people and companies to the Concorde Management & Development Team.  While still in high school she was a restaurant hostess, and sales associate.  During her college years and beyond she worked in customer service for a department store and became a sales associate and supervisor at a big box store.  She also worked as a debt collection associate.  Her diverse professional experience while going to school taught her multitasking, responsibility and how to work well with people.  It also trained her to become the positive, optimistic employee who works well not only with the Concorde Team but also with the public.

Marie enjoys reading, journaling, photography, and getting involved in the community.  For the last two years she has volunteered time and energy serving food and cleaning at a homeless shelter in Lincoln.

Tina Harrill

Our newest employee, Tina Harill, is a lifelong resident of Lincoln.  She has spent twenty years in the hospitality industry and fifteen years in sales.  Tina’s many years of service to the people of Lincoln underscores her comment, “The “People Industry” is always rewarding.”  She brings that commitment to people in her job as a leasing agent.  Tina is dedicated to finding solutions to any and all problems that are presented to her.  Her long time knowledge of the Lincoln community and her dedicated teamwork with both employees and clients serves Concorde Management and Development well.  Tina has stated she really loves working with the Concorde Family and Concorde loves having an employee with her integrity and dedication.  She is a great addition to our team!

Tina enjoys music, family, friends and of course her number one enjoyment is her son – who she says “keeps her busy”!

Frito Schmidt

Concorde Mascot

Frito is a Golden Doodle that loves to come visit the office. He visits the Concorde office on Fridays, which are now called Frito Fridays. His favorite things are his toys and empty plastic water bottles. He always brings the energy with him and never forgets to greet everyone. He brings in his big contagious smile every Friday and helps motivate our team which is why he’s the best mascot for Concorde!

Ryder Fenton

Ryder is an English Retriever and our junior mascot. Don’t let his sweet face fool you though, he’s growing every day in order to reach his goal of being tall and strong enough to make off with every morsel of food in site! From time to time, he can be seen patrolling the office and making sure everyone is staying on task.
